Ministry Partner Training
Join us for a free, two-day course in St. Louis, MO beginning on Monday, June 5 at 9:00 am CST and ending Tuesday, June 6 at 12:00 pm CST.
This training is aimed at development professionals working for LCMS organizations and congregations who are looking to increase their knowledge of gift planning and integrate planned giving into their overall development programs. Course content focuses on best practices for surfacing potential planned gifts, developing awareness of present day and future planned gift options, implementing strategies for stewarding planned gifts, and understanding how the LCMS Foundation can assist ministries in the gift planning process.
The course will cover:
- The broad landscape of planned giving
- Gift planning, endowments, and their Biblical foundations
- How to integrate gift planning into your existing development office and strategy
- Practices for identifying and qualifying gift planning prospects
- Survey of planned giving strategies for both present day and future gifts
- Strategies for stewarding donor relationships once a gift plan has been created
- How the LCMS Foundations works and the process for partnering with the Foundation to create planned gifts for your ministry
